Neither Jew nor Greek, continued | Between Jerusalem and Constantinople http://byzantinejewess.wordpress.com/ There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. – Galatians 3:28

I think Greek is a beautiful language, and I’m happy to be studying it currently – but I’m not Greek, and I’m never going to be. I can’t solve the tensions of being a Jew within the Church and a Jew within Christ by becoming a philo-Hellene or an honorary Greek. It wouldn’t be honest to who I am or the person who God created me to be.

I reiterate that most such Orthodox have their heart in the right place, but to trade one notion of a select chosen people for another seems to be entirely missing the point of “Neither Jew nor Greek!”
